Current Beauty and Skincare Wishlist

As I haven't been able to leave the house to pick up any new beauty products (urgh English weather), I thought that today I would share the items that I am saving up my pennies to buy.

Top row

Maggs London Beloved London Makeup Bag - I'm a big fan of Hannah Michalak and since finding out about her makeup bag company I've been yearning for one of these gorgeous handmade bags - she even adds a handwritten message to each package!

Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask - I'm going through a phase of loving face masks and having seen Fleur de Force's review of this funny textured mask I've really wanted to try it for myself.

Essie Nail Polish in Sugar Daddy - Natural nails are my go-to nail look and after clearing out most of my nail polishes this weekend, I really want to get my hands on my first ever Essie polish.

Second row

Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 01 - Being the pale girl that I am, bronzer just isn't my forte, but I've heard so many people rave about how good this bronzer from The Body Shop is and I want to get my glow for summer.

Soap & Glory Hand Food - I'm going through a real phase of hand and nail care at the moment and the changing weather is drying out my hands so I want to try what is supposedly the 'best handcream ever'.

Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set - *swoons* Oh. My. Goodness. Isn't this just the most gorgeous thing you have ever seen? Last year all of the bloggers fell in love with these brushes and now I have too. Despite its price, I think it will be worth it (if I can ever get my hands on it - it's never in stock!)

Bottom Row

Nails inc. Superfood NailKale Base Coat - My nails are one of my favourite features and so I'm keen to keep them healthy. Having long nails, they can chip or crack, and then I have to start regrowing them, so I thought that this product could be a saviour when it comes to breakages and keeping them in good health.

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara - My friend has stunningly long lashes and following questioning about her mascara, I am keen to try this and (hopefully) get similar results!

The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer - After hearing Alix (I Covet Thee) and Melanie (Melanie Murphy) talk about how good this highlighter is, I'm keen to give it a go and look as lovely as them!

If I do finally purchase any of these products, I'll be sure to tell you all about it! Which products do you want to try?

NUXE Rêve De Miel

I've been pondering over this little pot of goodness for a long time now, wondering whether it would be worth the money. I finally caved in and treated myself to what is possibly one of the best lip products I've ever used and one of the most beautiful to sit on my bedside table.

NUXE Rêve De Miel is an ultra-nourishing lip balm which is really hydrating but not greasy because it has a fairly matte finish. At £9.50, is a bit expensive for a lip balm, but I think that it's well worth the money for the amount you get and how long it lasts. It also contains honey and other natural oils and has a smell which is supposed to be grapefruit, but smells more like very orangey chocolate orange!

In the UK you can purchase this on the high street in larger Marks and Spencer's stores, or anywhere which stocks NUXE products. The beautiful packaging on this particular pot is a turquoise colour because it is one of the 20th Anniversary Limited Edition lip balms, but the normal packaging has a blue lid.

Thanks for reading! Let me know in the comments what your favourite lip product is so that I can give it a try.

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Range

Another skincare post this week! I've been trying out a couple of bits from the Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel range, a really affordable and good quality line.

*Typical Blogger Disclaimer* What works for me, might not work for you, and vice versa. I have normal/combination skin with normal cheeks and an oily T-zone with dry patches. I am also spot and blackhead-prone, mostly due to hormones.

I'm going to start with the product which I didn't like, which was the Cleansing and Toning Lotion. I really disliked the smell of this and it didn't absorb into my skin. It also promised to remove remnants of makeup and cleanser, but couldn't even remove light concealer. I think that it may have been the cause of a big breakout this week, so I stopped using it immediately.

I have pretty bad blackheads on my nose and was looking into pore strips, but they all seem to be really expensive. The Tea Tree & Witch Hazel range was had a 3 for 2 offer on and these Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Nose Pore Strips were only £4.99 for 6. Whilst they don't remove all gunk from my pores, quite a lot is removed on each use, I haven't had any bad reactions and my pores look slightly cleaner which makes me a happy bunny.

The final purchase was the Back Spray to cure acne of your back, which is a problem that most teens and many adult will experience. It's quite hard to treat 'backne', but a handy spray helps you to reach over your shoulder and get to those hard-to-reach areas. The only problems with this, is that it doesn't come with a lid, which is a little unhygienic, and the spray can be a bit hit-and-miss, as to whether it will work properly or not. This stuff is really great at drying up and clearing back acne, so a great one to try if you have problems with this.

The Body Shop Haul

Hello friends! Yesterday I went into town and ended up buying quite a lot from The Body Shop, so here's a little round up of my purchases (obviously, having only bought them yesterday, the reviews won't be full and will only be first impressions).

In order of photos:
Having finished my concealer (Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - really don't like this product, but many people love it because for a budget concealer it's pretty good), I was on the lookout for a fairly affordable one which suited my skin tone, and of course there was nothing even similar to my skin tone in Boots or Superdrug! I ended up getting two different concealers from The Body Shop, one for coverage (Concealer All In One) and one for highlighting (Lightening Touch). I really like how light the All In One concealer feels, but with a full coverage. It is very blendable, both with fingers and with a brush. The Lightening Touch Concealer is VERY glittery, and has no coverage, so should be used over a concealer.

The White Musk Fragrance Mist was a must for me because the white musk scent has been my favourite for years, and this mist is simply a larger bottle to spray over my entire body and smell gorgeous all day long!

I had come out of Boots with a hand covered in swatches (which still haven't come off btw) and I tried to get at least some of the gunk off with the Vitamin E Toner, and found that it was actually really moisturising! I happened to be looking for a new toner, having run out of my Liz Earle Skin Tonic and so I popped this into the basket too. The toner is very moisturising and refreshing and sinks into my skin fast. I seems to have a bit of a weird texture when pouring it out, because it seems to be slightly thicker than water which is kind of odd. If you are thinking of getting this, remember, a little goes a long way!

Products mentioned:
Lightening Touch - Shade 00

Thanks for reading this post! Hopefully I'll be writing again soon, depending on whether I have a ton of work to do for school.
